Some people go to the gym all the time. Good for them. This article is addressed to the people who struggle, who don’t go as much as they think they should, who aren’t as fit as they’d like.
Going to the gym is hard. You have to pack a gym bag. You have to go there. You have to change when you get there. You have to change and get home. All that and you’re paying every month for a membership.
The thing is, you don’t need a gym to get in good shape.
At-home fitness for the winners
There’s a reason you hear so much about interval training.
Short, intense periods of exercise are highly effective in boosting health, possibly more effective than long sessions of exercise. All you really need to get in shape is a short, well-designed workout routine.
The most famous is the 7-minute workout routine All you do is 30 seconds of each of these exercises, with 10-second breaks: Jumping jacks; wall sits; push-ups; crunches; step-up (on chair); squats; triceps dips (on chair); planks; high knees / running in place; lunges; push-ups and rotations; side planks. If you aren’t sure how the different exercises are carried out, don’t worry they are very simple movements. Go on youtube and write the exercise you are in doubt about – a 100 video’s will appear and show you the correct movement.
Not feeling that? The four-minute Tabata workout and a 12-minute workout, that alternates high-effort bursts with easy jogs have also been shown to be extremely effective. There are others popping up every day. Creative types might even invent their own.
You can do it anywhere.
What else can you do?
Simply running for five-to-ten minutes every day has been shown to give a major boost to your health. If running isn’t your style, five minutes of jumping rope, vigorously riding a bike, or really any activity that causes you to break a sweat will make a difference.
Me? I live near the beach. Why on earth would I run in a gym basement on a treadmill when I can run on the beach? Because I am one of the gym fanatic’s we hate. haha..;) I use the treadmill before I work out with weights in the gym, but that doesn’t mean you have to do it, there are endless alternatives, you don’t have to run inside on a boring treadmill.
Other ways I’ll look to get exercise include self-guided stretching, I am a HUGE fan of Yoga – I always end my workouts with some good long yoga stretches, riding a bike, taking the stairs when possible, signing up for the office sports team, and kicking a soccer ball in the park. When I am a good girl, I join one yoga class a week, it is conditioner for my body soul and mind. I’m also looking forward to doing more with a kettle bell, I used it a lot when I took the PT education in London. My teachers in london were Kettle bell fans.
Interval training, running, kettle bell, yoga, bike, stairs, sports — who needs a gym membership when you have all of that? (Competitive athletes, fitness junkies, body builders, and various people who for some reason find it convenient to go to the gym I am one of them. But you can get amazing workouts without the gym especially now, when its summer use the beach and parks – or anywhere. On my last trip to Las Vegas I did yoga on the airplane in the hallway, I am a little nuts – but sitting down for so many hours made me restless so I did some static yoga poses that got my blood flowing)
Not having a gym membership has other advantages. It gives you the flexibility to take the occasional class wherever you want. Try that boxing studio near work, make Saturday a yoga day, take a dance class. I can imagine It’s easier when you don’t have gym guilt holding you back.
Another great tip is to force yourself to get a bigger interest in health and fitness, by reading some basic facts you will get more motivation and curiosity, and try out some workout routines and healthy foods.
Born out of frustration with myself for sometimes skipping the gym and going for a run, because it’s quicker and easier. I decided I’d go to the gym in the morning so I’d have no more excuses.
How hard could it be?
Turns out, very. Here are six things to try if you want to go to the gym in the morning.
1. Prepare everything the night before
Before I go to bed, I pack everything I want to wear the next day in my gym bag and lay out my exercise clothes and sneakers to wear the next morning.
Packing away my gym outfit forces me to take the extra step of removing it from my gym bag if I don’t make it to the gym. It’s a small step that’s just annoying enough to incentivize me to just throw on my workout gear and head to the gym.
Plus, if you already know what you’re going to wear the next day, it will save you time rummaging through your closet.
2. Set your alarm for earlier than you need to wake up
I’m convinced sleeping in and snoozing your alarm is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Because I know that it takes me about two tries before I actually get out of bed, I set my alarm even earlier than I need to so I still feel like I’m sleeping in.
If I can skip the morning rush, I’m happy.
Though I realize that it’s not technically sleeping in if you’re still waking up at the right time, I find I can lie to myself more easily when I’m drowsy in the morning and feel like I’m still getting some extra shut eye.
3. Find your motivation
Going to the gym every day is all about finding the right motivation. For some people, that might be trying to hit a goal weight, fit into a certain item of clothing, or look great naked. For me it’s looking great naked hahaha 😉
The gym I go to is a few blocks away from my home. It makes it very easy for me to reach it, I can walk or run there.
Whenever I’m feeling really unmotivated, I think about the feeling I have after I went to the gym. I feel AMAZING!!
4. Drink a lot of water
As soon as I wake up, the first thing I do is DRINKING as much water as I can. Not only has it been shown to have a lot of great health benefits, like jumpstarting your metabolism, but it also energizes me almost as much as cup of coffee in the morning.
Plus if you’re going to go work out, you should be hydrated.
5. Eat something
I eat eggs and some fruit maybe rice if i am doing weights, so I am sure I have enough energy. if I am doing cardio only, I eat fruits.
While some people wake up starving in the morning, I’m not one of them. Still, I find I workout much more effectively if I have something to eat before going to the gym.
Lately, I’ve been grabbing fruits like a banana or an apple before my cardio session, but any sort of fuel will do the trick.
6. Remember you just have to show up
The thing I tell myself as I’m dragging my feet out the door every day is that I just have to show up. Simply by touching my feet to the treadmill, I will have been successful. I don’t even have to go for a run if I don’t want to.
Once I get to the gym, I realize how easy it would be to start running. I mean, the treadmill is right there. And after a run, I could go shower immediately, but the weights are close by — why not lift for a little bit as long as I’m here?
It turns out, showing up really is half the battle in the morning.
On a date you never show that finding your soulmate is foremost on your mind. You’re cool. He may think you have turned down several engagements. You sip – never slurp – your drink. Let him find out all about you, instead of the other way around. You are light and flirtatious. Your gestures are soft and feminine. All your movements are fluid and sexy, not awkward or self-conscious. you’ve been on many dates before: your a pro. That’s because you take care of yourself. You didn’t lie in bed depressed, eating cookies before the date. You took a bubble bath or went for a run and read my blog hahaha, – built up your mindset with positive thinking. I am a beautiful woman. I am enough. You don’t have to do anything more on the date than show up, because you are fab. He will either love you or not. It is not your fault if he doesn’t call again. You’re beautiful inside and out. Someone else will love you if he doesn’t. That should be your mindset ladies, non of this – something is wrong with me.
I have confidence and self worth, it is one of my forces as a woman.. I have always had confidence and self worth, I know I am lucky. Probably because of my upbringing, my Egyptian daddy told me I was a queen everyday. My nick name in my familie is Queenie haha – go figure.
I see a lot of woman that are very insecure, unhappy and confused. So let me give you some tips to get that power flowing from your veins. Confidence and self worth will help you on the dating scene, situations with your boyfriend, maybe he is being a dick and you don’t stand up for yourself. In your carrier – go get what you want, or standing up for yourself in a conflict with a friend. Being confident and having self worth is very important in all aspects of life.
Being a Creature unlike any other is a state of mind.You don’t have to be rich, beautiful or exceptionally smart to feel this way about yourself. And you don’t have to be born with this feeling either. It can be learned mastered and practiced. Being a creature unlike any other is really an attitude, a sense of confidence and radiance that sparkles from your head to your toe. It’s the way you smile (you light up a room), pause in between sentences (you don’t babble on and on of nervousness), listen (attentively, look but never stare), breathe slowly and stand straight, walk with you shoulders back. It doesn’t matter if you are not a beauty queen, that you never finished college, or that you don’t get invited to current events. YOU still think you are enough! You have more confidence than woman with MBAs or women with LOADS of money in the bank. you don’t grovel. Your not desperate or anxious. You don’t date men who don’t want you. If not him someone better you say. You don’t settle. You don’t use sex to make men love you. You don’t chase anyone, it could be a man or a friend that is acting stupid toward you. You are not cynical. You don’t go to pieces when a relationship doesn’t work out. instead you get a manicure and go out on a date or hang out with all you supportive fun friends. You’re an optimist. You brush away a tear so that it doesn’t smudge your make up and you move on! Of course that is not how you really feel all the time. But that is how you pretend you feel, until you actually feel that way, thinking negative thoughts will make you feel like crap, so forcing yourself to think positive will lift yourself up, you get my drift?.

I can’t even explain how beautiful the scenery was or the thrilling sensation I felt deep inside my soul. I was watching this AMAZING view from a helicopter.
We used a agency called Maverick. They are super good, out hotel recommended them. A cab drove us to a pick up point and we saw Hoover Damn, Gran Canyon and other beautiful scenery. When you fly, you will be wearing headphones listening to calming music and a guy will be telling you tourist stuff and facts.
I couldn’t sit still, while we where flying, I literally felt like I was Superman flying and watching this sensational beauty. I know it sounds dramatic. But it is true, I was swept away by natures beauty into some kind of dreamlike trance, I felt hypnotized by earth, beauty and positive vibes.
Unfortunately the helicopter only lands for 45 minutes, I wanted to stay a few hours. You get some refreshments and snacks before you fly back, the way back and forth is incredible.
It was a perfect day, a perfect tour and I got to experience this once in a life times experience with my best friend my DAD and my little blond partner in crime. It meant a lot to me, having my dad next to me. We will have this experience together forever.
What is the longest a person has ever lived for? Meet Li Ching Yuen, a man who lived an astonishing 256 years! And no, this is not a myth or a fictional tale.
According to a 1930 New York Times article, Wu Chung-chieh, a professor of the Chengdu University, discovered Imperial Chinese government records from 1827 congratulating Li Ching-Yuen on his 150th birthday, and further documents later congratulating him on his 200th birthday in 1877. In 1928, a New York Times correspondent wrote that many of the old men in Li’s neighborhood asserted that their grandfathers knew him when they were boys, and that he at that time was a grown man.
Li Ching Yuen reportedly began his herbalist career at the age of 10, where he gathered herbs in mountain ranges and learned of their potency for longevity. For almost 40 years, he survived on a diet of herbs such as lingzhi, goji berry, wild ginseng, he shoo wu and gotu kola and rice wine. In 1749, at the age of 71, he joined the Chinese armies as teacher of martial arts. Li was said to be a much-loved figure in his community, marrying 23 times and fathering over 200 children.
According to the generally accepted tales told in his province, Li was able to read and write as a child, and by his tenth birthday had traveled in Kansu, Shansi, Tibet, Annam, Siam and Manchuria gathering herbs. For the first hundred years he continued at this occupation. Then he switched to selling herbs gathered by others. He sold lingzhi, goji berry, wild ginseng, he shou wu and gotu kola along with other Chinese herbs, and lived off a diet of these herbs and rice wine.
HE WASN’T THE ONLY ONE
According to one of Li’s disciples, he had once encountered an even older 500-year-old man, who taught him Qigong exercises and dietary recommendations that would help him extend his lifespan to superhuman proportions. Apart from Qigong and a herb-rich diet, what else can we learn from this Master of Longevity?
How about this: On his death bed, Li famously said, “I have done all that I have to do in this world”. Could his peaceful last words also hint at one of the biggest secrets to a long and prosperous life? It’s interesting to note that in the West, we’re often taught to believe that aging is something that must be “beaten” with high tech infrared devices and state of the art medication.
HIS SECRET TO LONG HEALTH:
Li was asked what his secret was to longevity. This was his reply: “Keep a quiet heart, sit like a tortoise, walk sprightly like a pigeon and sleep like a dog.” These were the words of advice Li gave to Wu Pei-fu, the warlord, who took Li into his house to learn the secret of extremely long life.
Li maintained that inward calm and peace of mind combined with breathing techniques were the secrets to incredible longevity. Obviously, his diet would have played a large role. But its fascinating that the old living person in recorded history attributes his long life to his state of mind.
WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO BELIEVE?
With the average lifespan for the Western world currently sitting between 70-85 years, the thought of someone living over 100 years old seems like quite the stretch. The thought of someone living over 200 years old seems extremely suspicious. But why don’t we believe that people can live this long?
We have to keep in mind that some people in this world don’t live a grueling 9-5 lifestyle, they don’t have to deal with the stresses of debt, they aren’t breathing polluted city air, and they exercise regularly. They don’t eat refined sugars or flour, or any foods that have had pesticides sprayed on them. They aren’t living off of the standard American diet.
They aren’t eating fatty meats, sugary deserts, and genetically modified foods. No antibiotics. No alcohol and no tobacco. Their diets not only exclude junk foods that we so often indulge in, they also include superfoods and herbs which are like steroids for our organs and immune system.
They also spend their spare time in nature practicing breathing techniques and meditating which have been proven to improve mental, physical, and emotional health. They keep things simple, get proper sleep, and spend a great deal of time in nature under the sun. When we get a chance to relax in the sun, we feel instantly rejuvenated and call this a “vacation”. Imagine spending a lifetime doing that in the mountains, and combining that with perfect mental, spiritual, and physical well-being.
I do not doubt for a minute that if we all did the things we knew we were supposed to do, that living to be 100 years old would be commonplace. When we treat our bodies right, who knows how long we can live for?

My favorite nightclub is XS it is not only my opinion but the people that live in Vegas, go there because it is the BEST! It is huge – I was there twice. The first time David Guetta was a DJ it was Saturday night. The 2. time was Sunday it was more layed back but still cool. Actually a pool party was happening at the nightclub around 2 am Sunday. People where walking around wet, I was too chicken to jump in the pool without my bikini, but don’t let that stop you LOL ;D
The vibe in Vegas is OFF the hook! I really love that everything is allowed and you meet people from all parts of the world. So many different accents, I connected with so many new people it was amazing. Vegas is a must try if you didn’t go yet. This trip was my 3. Vegas trip and not my last. I am tempted to go again later this summer.
So I am back! I have been MIA lately what can I say – I have been busy, vaccation, work, just life you know how it is. Anyway I just returned from the most amazing vaccation ever, ever! Las Vegas what a awesome place – I will be posting lots of amazing Vegas pics, don’t worry 😀 ..
But lets get back to the subjekt slim verses fat – why this crazy headline? I was so surprised about the american women, they really have something danish and british woman lack! No matter what size or shape they have, they strut around in there bikinis or swimsuits with their heads high having an AMAZING attitude – BIG smiles! I am georgeous and I don’t care about my flab, I am bootylicious and perfect. I have a big fat ass with cellulite and I own it. WOW I was so impressed and amazed by these unique, female queens. Being fat, chubby or full of cellulite didn’t stop their awesomeness. I really love how these women glow, they have the perfect aura showing of their bodys with pride. I did my little catwalk around the pool, they did their little catwalk around the pool. Some of the ladies where VERY Big, they didn’t at any point look uncomfortable, these beautiful confident unique women created such a great vibe, passing me With BIG smileys and a small chat. So my conclusion is us women in Europe can learn something from these queens, why waste your time being depressed or shy because you are fat or have flab? So what – you are not perfect – no one is. Honestly the most beautiful women in the world are the onces with confidence, the ladies that smile and glow. I loved looking at confident women with huge flabby booties walk their catwalk and charm boys. I was thinking AWESOME!! I hope this will inspire you to own what you have. All women are perfect mysterious creatures and we all have something beautiful and unique. Jump in your bikinis and shine this summer. Xo
I had the BEST BDAY! Spa with my BFF we went to Well-Come by Amazing Space in Hellerup. I can recommend the spa it was lovely. 1 hour massage will give you access to the gym and spa. We chilled out for 4 hours and then we went to Victor for dinner where I meet up with some other ladies I have know for 15 years. Victor is always a success the service, food and atmosphere is great, and they gave me a bottle of champagne for free. weiii Thank you! I was spoiled rotten with expensive gifts! I guess it pays of to celebrate your bday lol 😀
The next day another other group of friends surprised me with a Bday lunch at Fiat another great lunch spot in central Copenhagen, the sun was out and it was a lovely day! 😉 I got some beautiful flowers and I had a awesome time.
What a PERFECT Bday.
I was so happy!!
Tomorrow i am off to Las Vegas! Another luxury Bday Gift!
